I use CBT approaches when working with clients. I will firstly assess what the problem is, formulate and work from empirical based models using a variety of interventions.
CBT works by identifying negative thoughts/beliefs which effects emotions in turn affecting behaviour. By using various interventions the negative maintenance cycle can be broken and a client will be able to manage or change difficult issues in their lives.
