The eligibility criteria are designed to ensure that BAC is recruiting proficient therapists of suitable expertise and standard, to adequately meet clients’ exacting needs.
Minimum Level 4 qualification in respective modality such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-centred therapy, Psychodynamic Counselling, Cognitive analytic therapy (CAT)
Minimum of 200 practice hours post qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience
Accreditation, eligibility of accreditation or registration to practice as a therapist with a reputable professional body such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), The National Counselling Society (NCS), British Psychoanalytic Society (BCP) or any other governing body accredited by the Professional Standards Authority
In regular supervision with a trained supervisor and experienced practitioner for at least 1hr 30mins each month, commensurate with experience
Insured to practice. Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance are required with a minimum protection of at least £1 million. Insurance is in date and adequately covers their counselling and supervision practice
To have a depth of knowledge and be able to demonstrate their adherence to The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions or The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Code of Ethics or The National Counselling Society (NSC) Code of Ethics or similar code of ethics as per their professional membership body
Be able to demonstrate the importance of GDPR and how they secure and store clients notes in accordance with the Data Protection Act (2018)
Be able to demonstrate their ability to appropriately host online sessions free from any visual and/or noise distractions that may interfere with the client’s counselling experience
Be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development

Accredited, diploma or certified qualification in specialist modality such as Life Coaching, Stress Management, Wellness Coaching, Relationship Coaching, Executive Coaching
Minimum of 50 practice hours and 40 hours of training
Accreditation, eligibility of accreditation or membership with a reputable professional body such as the Association for Coaching (AC), International Coach Federation (ICF), European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC), Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS), International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP) or the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), to competently practice as a coach
In regular supervision with a trained supervisor and experienced practitioner for at least 1hr 30mins every six weeks, commensurate with experience
